For the inaugural exhibition at Fisher Parrish Gallery, The Paperweight Show, we were asked to design a paperweight. Given carte blanche to explore, we looked to water weights that we found in our last trip to Japan. Used for everything from doorstops to securing signage, these ubiquitous objects had a functional language entirely dictated by their use and roto-molded production method. Using this as the backbone of the concept, we designed a refillable weight that could serve any hefty task.
Produced in a limited edition of 2 pieces.
Designed in collaboration with Sina Sohrab.
